“I should’ve stayed home,” I say the minute I enter The Firken and see how busy it is.

“Don’t be like that. It’s good to get out,” Noah says, smacking me in the chest. The guys head over to a long table, and we all take a seat. The waiter comes over and I order a club soda.

“Seriously? Russo?” Easton chuckles.

“I’m not drinking, I drank in Hawaii and felt like shit after. We have a home game tomorrow,” I remind my teammates.

“Seriously, no heavy drinking. We got to kick some ass tomorrow,” Noah reiterates, and he’s the team captain so hopefully everyone listens to him.

Levi orders a beer, so does Rowan and Leo, we also order a couple of plates of nachos for the table.

Some of the usual bunnies walk over to the table. We have some empty chairs at our table, which I’m pretty sure was intentional.

“Mind if we have a seat?” Cherie asks. I’m pretty sure she’s slept with all the guys in the hockey house, except for me and Noah.

“My girl and her friends are coming,” Noah shrugs.

Cherie pouts.

“Bring some extra chairs this way,” Rowan calls from the end of the table.

I give him a WTF look. This was supposed to be our downtime.

“Come on. Nothing wrong with getting your dick wet while having a chill night,” Levi winks from beside me. Sometimes his level of douchyness gets to me.

I shake my head but smile because I don’t want to come across as a tight-ass.

Cait walks in with Olivia, Luna, and shit, it’s Lili. My senses go on high alert. I wasn’t expecting to see her tonight. She looks beautiful, as usual.

“You all know Lili,” Cait says to the guys.

Everyone says hi to her.

“This isn’t a photo op, is it?” Leo asks. “’Cause I just want to chill tonight.”

The guys are feeling worn from the weekend travel and some tough practices this week. I’m kind of feeling the same way.

Lili shakes her head. Her long dark hair falls down her back and her lips look sinful. My eyes drop to the V in her shirt and then down her body. Everything about her is fine. Especially that ass. When I think of her riding me. . . shit. I take a breath because I’m getting a stiffy.

“No photo ops tonight, but I need to set up appointments with each of you. I’m going to be dividing you into pairs and making you interview each other. Silly stuff. It’ll be fun,” Lili says.

“Oh, I’ll bet,” Levi whispers to me. “I wouldn’t mind having a private interview with her.”

“Would you stop?” I snap at him.

“Chill, bruh,” he replies, looking at me like I’m nuts.

The girls have a seat, and the waiter comes around and takes their order.

Lili orders beer like the rest of the girls.

We all sit back and chat about mundane things. We have an important game against Havenshire tomorrow, so I plan on getting a good night’s sleep.

I down the rest of my soda and head to the restroom.
